Credibility approach for a type of group decision making by fuzzy multiple criteria and multiple constraint levels linear programming

Decision making is an important part of human life. A decision can be made by the idea of an individual or a group. Groups are seen as superior to individuals as decision making entities. In fact, groups bring more diverse sets of information, perspectives, and knowledge to make a decision. A type of group decision making is related to multiple criteria and multiple constraint levels linear programming ( LP MC ), where the viewpoint of decision makers (DMs) regarding the amount of resources are taken into account and an optimal policy for the amount of resources is created. In reality, most of the data are qualitative. Besides, one method for transforming the qualitative data to quantitative data is using the fuzzy set theory. Recently, the credibility theory has been proposed for dealing with fuzzy models. Therefore, the present study aims to solve LP MC with fuzzy data using the credibility approach. We utilize meaning  credit levels to transform the fuzzy version of the LP MC to a crisp model. In case the credibility levels are available and the data are triangular fuzzy numbers, the transformed model is equivalent to a LP MC with crisp data. This paper also tryes to extend the related concepts of LP MC to the fuzzy environment. A numerical example is employed to illustrate the proposed method.
